Privacy Policy

LDS Scripture Trivia · Last updated: June 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the LDS Scripture Trivia mobile application ("the app") handles information. The app is developed by Thomas Wald ("we", "us"). We are committed to keeping the app simple and privacy-respecting.

Information we collect

We do not collect, store, or share any personal information. The app has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no advertising or analytics or tracking technologies.

Information stored on your device

Your in-app preferences — the dark-mode setting and the sound-effects setting — are saved only on your own device so the app remembers them between sessions. They are never transmitted to us or anyone else, and they are removed if you uninstall the app. The app also keeps a local copy of the trivia content on your device so it can work offline; this content is not personal to you.

Third-party services

The app retrieves its trivia content from Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore). When the app connects to fetch content, Google processes basic technical information (such as your device's IP address) as a normal part of delivering any internet service. We do not use Firebase to collect personal information about you, and we receive no personal data from it. Google's handling of such technical data is described in the Firebase Privacy and Security documentation and the Google Privacy Policy.

Children's privacy

The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Because no personal information is collected, none is collected from children.

Data security

Connections between the app and Firebase are encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Because we store no personal data, there is no personal data of yours for us to lose.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
